Mississippi State is heading to Gainesville this weekend to take on the Florida Gators.
The Bulldogs have taken a step this year, entering the game with a 4-2 record, with one of those losses being an overtime loss to Tennessee.
On Thursday, the Bulldogs released a hype video on social media showcasing their uniform combination for Saturday’s game in The Swamp. Mississippi State will be wearing all-white uniforms with a throwback, interlocking MSU logo on the helmet.
The Bulldogs have already won 2 more games in Year 2 under Jeff Lebby than they won in all of 2024, when they went 2-10. The next step for the program is to go compete and get a big road win.
Of Lebby’s 6 wins at Mississippi State, the only road win is this season’s opener against Southern Miss. The Bulldogs are 0-5 in SEC road games under Lebby, and none of those games have been under single digits. In their lone SEC road game this year, they lost to Texas A&M, 31-9.
While this game isn’t a big one in terms of the SEC standings, both of these teams have a lot to play for. For the Gators, reports are swirling that Billy Napier won’t survive a loss in this game. Kickoff is scheduled at 4:15 p.m. ET, and the game will be on SEC Network.
