Mississippi State squanders scoring opportunity vs. Mizzou in embarrasing fashion

Mississippi State hosted Mizzou on Saturday night in one of the biggest home games in a long time. Quarterback Kamario Taylor has helped put the Bulldogs back on the map, and more importantly for coach Jeff Lebby, has led them to an undefeated record.
The Bulldogs were leading the Tigers 14-10 late in the second quarter, and looked to be going in to extend the lead. However, Taylor was sacked, and the Bulldogs didn’t have a timeout and ran out of time.
Taylor had an up-and-down first half. He threw for 149 yards and 1 touchdown, but he also threw his first interception of the year to go along with the mistake at the end of the half.
He has been the talk of college football throughout the first few weeks and for good reason. He has showcased the type of potential that could make him a very high pick in the 2028 NFL Draft. There has also been a huge talking point about whether or not he stays at Mississippi State next year.
For now, all that matters is if he bounces back and regroups from the end of the first half to help the Bulldogs move to 4-0 on the season.
