Missouri adds first commitment of 2023 class from DL/TE out of St. Louis area

Missouri added the first member to its 2023 recruiting class on Sunday with a commitment from Brett Norfleet, a 4-star defensive lineman out of Saint Charles, Missouri, near St. Louis (Francis Howell).
Norfleet, who is also listed as a tight end, is the No. 11 tight end in the 2023 class, and the No. 5 player in the state of Missouri, according to the 247Sports Composite. He has a reported 17 offers and is listed at 6-foot-7 and 220 pounds. Norfleet is a versatile athlete in more ways than football. He also is a baseball pitcher, first baseman and outfielder, and reportedly hit 90 mph as a freshman. He played defensive end and tight end as a freshman in 2019.
Based on his announcement, it appears Norfleet plans to be a two-sport athlete at Mizzou.
