Missouri reportedly changes play-caller, sees notable offensive improvement

Missouri has made a chance to its offensive play-caller, and the Tigers have already seen a notable improvement in its production.
Eli Drinkwitz gave up play-calling duties after he revealed about a month ago that he’d be open to it. Drinkwitz had called plays since he was hired at Missouri ahead of the 2020 season. Quarterbacks coach Bush Hamdan, a former offensive coordinator at Washington, was elevated to offensive play-caller for the Tigers and has handled offensive play-calling duties in the team’s last 2 games, sources told On3.
Matt Zenitz pointed out several of the improvements for the Tigers: Since the change, Missouri scored 24 points in the first 36 minutes of a loss to Tennessee and 45 in a win (Saturday) over New Mexico State. QB Brady Cook has posted 645 total yards (468 passing, 177 rushing) with five TD passes and zero INTs in these last 2 games.
The Tigers have averaged at least 5.56 yards per play the last 2 games, the first time all season they’ve had that level of production in back-to-back games.
