Miller Moss is set to join a new program after spending 4 years at USC. And, reportedly, his search will include three initial schools.
According to 247Sports’ R.J. Abeytia, Moss is set to visit Missouri “as early as Monday” followed by a stop at Louisville. Per Abeytia, Moss “may” visit a third school.
Moss played in 2 games for USC before redshirting in 2021. He received limited action in 2022 as a backup to Caleb Williams during the latter’s Heisman Trophy-winning season, playing 5 times. In 2023, he played in 5 more games, throwing 6 touchdowns against Louisville in that season’s Holiday Bowl after Williams opted out to prepare for the NFL Draft.
In 2024, Moss opened the season as the Trojans’ No. 1 quarterback, getting off to a good start with a 378-yard performance in the opener against LSU in Las Vegas. But the team’s play declined as the season went on, and after a 3-interception game against Washington, Moss was benched in favor of UNLV transfer Jayden Maiava.
On Monday, after the Trojans’ 49-35 loss to Notre Dame, Moss announced that he would enter the transfer portal.
Mizzou would love to land Moss with incumbent Brady Cook having exhausted his eligibility. The Tigers finished the regular season at 9-3 but were unable to fully establish themselves as a serious College Football Playoff contender in 2024. They’ll hope to do just that in 2025 by possibly adding Moss to the roster.
Miller Moss will take visits to three schools this week. Moss and his family will hit Missouri first, potentially as early as Monday and then Louisville. A third team may receive a visit but that's not confirmed. These will be the first but may not be the only trips Moss takes.
