Missouri’s Kevin Coleman Jr. named to Biletnikoff Award preseason watch list
Missouri hopes to get the most out of highly touted transfer wideout Kevin Coleman Jr., and the former Mississippi State star seems poised for a big senior season in his new SEC locale.
More proof of that arrived on Wednesday, when Coleman was named to the preseason watch list for the Biletnikoff Award, which is given annually to college football’s best wide receiver. Coleman was 1 of 47 players named to the prestigious watch list, and he hopes to become the first SEC receiver to win the award since Tennessee’s Jaylin Hyatt took home the honor in 2022.

The 2025 season will be a homecoming of sorts for the St. Louis native, as he tries to entrench his name in Missouri football lore. He was 1 of the few bright spots in 2024 for a 2-10 Mississippi State team, catching 74 passes for 932 yards and 6 touchdowns. Coleman also returned 16 punts for 153 yards for the Bulldogs.
The Biletnikoff Award social media account celebrated Coleman’s inclusion on the watch list with this post:
Coleman arrives in Columbia having already played for 3 programs. He spent time at Jackson State and Louisville before arriving in the SEC with Mississippi State. He was named the 2022 SWAC Freshman of the Year at Jackson State and was an All-SEC third-team selection last season in Starkville.
The winner of the Biletnikoff Award will be announced on Dec. 11.
