Missouri football added a pledge from a Class of 2027 edge out of Illinois on Friday. La Grange Park, Illinois native Chris Kasky committed to the Tigers over the likes of Indiana, Arkansas and Iowa, to name a few.

Kasky stands at 6-foot-5, 22 pounds and hails from Nazareth Academy, the same program as Tigers 3-star guard commitment Luke Injaychock. As a sophomore, Kasky recorded 47 tackles with 16 tackles for loss and 5 sacks.

Kasky comes in as the 3rd highest-rated commitment of the cycle for Eli Drinkwitz’ Tigers, just behind 4-star TE Jack Brown and 3-star offensive tackle Lual Aleu. He’s the first edge rusher to commit to Missouri this cycle and the second member of the defensive line, joining 3-star defensive lineman Dami Sowunmi out of Indiana.

According to 247Sports’ composite rankings, Kasy is considered to be the No. 503 overall prospect in the country as well as the No. 43 edge rusher and No. 19 prospect out of the state of Illinois.

As it currently stands, Missouri holds the country’s 25th ranked recruiting class in the 2027 cycle.
