The Missouri Tigers open their season at home on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. ET against the Central Arkansas Bears. Mizzou will look to improve on its 8-4 record last year, which ended in a win against Iowa in the Music City Bowl.
In anticipation of their season opener, the Mizzou Football X account posted a game-day hype video featuring clips from their games last year with the caption “WAKE UP IT’S GAMEDAY.”
Mizzou has one of the easiest schedules in the SEC this year. They won’t play a road game until the middle of October and get to play 3 SEC teams that many believe will be in the bottom half of the standings. Of the four preseason-ranked opponents Mizzou has on its schedule, three of them will be at home, with the only road game being on Nov. 22 when they travel to take on the Oklahoma Sooners. They have a great chance to push close to 10 wins this year.

Mizzou did lose a lot of its offense from the past year. Quarterback and three-year starter Brady Cook, star wide receiver Luther Burden III, and wide receiver Theo Wease Jr. are all major losses for the Tigers.
The Tigers’ game against Central Arkansas will be the first test for this new-look offense.
