This weekend has proven to be full of punches on football fields across the country. Missouri and Florida got it started with an on-field skirmish at halftime in Gainesville on Saturday. Then there was another one in the NFL on Sunday.

A Baltimore Ravens player, Matthew Judon, was ejected following a skirmish with the Pittsburgh Steelers when officials tried to step in and break it up. It happened in the second quarter as Judon swung his arm hard while a post-play fracas was being broken up, and he hit an official who was close to him.

The fight started after Diontae Johnson and Marcus Peters got into it, Yahoo Sports noted. Judon came to Peters’ defense, shoving Johnson to the ground. In the aftermath, Judon punched the official.

It’s no surprise that there wasn’t any love lost between these division rivals, as they combined for 7 penalties for 70 yards by halftime. The Ravens led 17-7 in the game played in Baltimore. The second half should be interesting between these two AFC heavyweights who have only one loss between them entering Sunday.
