The No. 23 Missouri Tigers rolled to a 52-10 win over the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns this past Saturday in a dominant performance that secured them their third consecutive 3-0 start.
Mizzou plowed its way to the lopsided win over its Group of 5 foe by focusing on the ground game offensively, and sophomore tailback Ahmad Hardy did the bulk of the heavy lifting for the Tigers in this department.

The former Louisiana-Monroe standout carried the ball 22 times against the Ragin’ Cajuns, racking up 250 yards and 3 touchdowns in a truly dominant performance that led to Hardy being named the Walter Camp National Offensive Player of the Week.
With his outstanding showing in Week 3 tallied in, Hardy now sits at 462 rushing yards and 5 rushing touchdowns on the year, and he currently ranks first among all SEC running backs in yards on the ground.
Tigers’ head coach Eli Drinkwitz went into the portal and got Hardy last offseason in hopes that he would be able to fill the void left by 2 departing upperclassmen, and he appears to be all of that and then some early on.
If Hardy can maintain his current pace, then he could end up etching his name in the Missouri record books when things are all said and done.
