The news comes as Drinkwitz has been mentioned as a potential candidate for multiple coaching jobs, including in the SEC. He is in his sixth season at Mizzou.
Drinkwitz has a 45-28 record at Mizzou. After a 17-19 mark through 3 Drinkwitz’s first 3 seasons, Mizzou broke through in 2023 with an 11-2 record. The Tigers followed that up with a 10-3 showing in 2024, making MU 21-5 over a 2-season stretch.
Mizzou is 7-4 overall and 3-4 in conference play this season. The Tigers are looking to end the regular season on a high note against Arkansas on Saturday.
