Mizzou is in a battle with Kansas in a renewal of one of the oldest rivalries in college football. Both teams have come out with a ton of energy, and there has been big plays made by both the Jayhawks and Tigers.
The latest big play was by Missouri true freshman wide receiver Donovan Olugbode, who made a stunning 4th-down catch to help sustain a drive late in the first half. The Tigers were unable to finish the drive with a touchdown, but were able to make a field goal and cut the deficit.
Here’s a look at Olugbode’s big play:
Olugbode entered Missouri with some big expectations, as he was a 4-star recruit according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He was the No. 95 prospect in the class, and the No. 12 wide receiver in the class.
In the opener against Central Arkansas, he finished with four catches and 37 yards, and he is a guy Missouri fans are hoping can have a career similar to former great Luther Burden III.
Rivalry games are one of the things that makes college football so great, and the fans in Columbus are currently experiencing an extremely competitive game as the teams are tied at 21 at the half.
