Mountain West announces 2020 Media Days will be held virtually

As we continue to move forward through the COVID-19 pandemic, many of this summer’s scheduled activities are in danger of being canceled or postponed.

On Wednesday, the Mountain West Conference announced on Twitter that its 2020 football media days would be held virtually.

As you can see below, the conference will determine a date to hold the virtual media days at some point in the future. The original scheduled dates were July 16-17:

This is interesting news, as the SEC Media Days are scheduled for July 13-16 at the moment. Will those media days still be held in Atlanta? Or, will the SEC and other Power 5 conferences move their media days online, too?

We’ll see what the commissioners of the major conferences decide in the coming weeks.
