Quarterback Jamie Newman won’t be the only ACC graduate transfer Georgia adds to its roster this offseason. On Monday, tight end Tre’ McKitty announced he would spend his final year of eligibility with the Bulldogs.

Newman expressed his excitement to McKitty coming to Athens in an Instagram post late Monday afternoon.

McKitty and Newman faced one another each of the last three seasons in the ACC Atlantic Division — Newman at Wake Forest and McKitty at Florida State. The Seminoles won the first two matchups while the Demon Deacons captured a rare victory against Florida State in 2019.

Newman’s play declined down the stretch, but overall, he had a strong season, and McKitty will be another pass target for the graduate transfer signal caller. McKitty had 23 catches for 241 yards at Florida State in 2019.
