It appears Mac Jones has already been embraced by the veterans in New England.
How so?
Well, the franchise’s first-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft has already been given a nickname by Cam Newton.
While he was known by “Joker” at Alabama, Jones is now being called “Mac and cheese” in New England:

Credit Newton for handling himself in a professional manner and not distancing himself from a rookie that was selected essentially to take his place in New England.
There have been plenty of veteran quarterbacks that have chosen a different route in the NFL but it sounds like Jones and Newton are being to form a bond that only teammates can understand.
