NFL Mock Draft 2023: Latest Round 1 projections from PFF include 10 SEC stars
With the 2023 NFL Draft almost upon us more and mock drafts keep coming out. Pro Football Focus released another mock draft on Monday with 10 SEC players going in the first round.
The majority of the players chosen from the SEC in the mock draft were from Georgia and Alabama. PFF believes that three players each from both the Bulldogs and Crimson Tide will be picked in the first round.
Kentucky, Florida, and Mississippi State will also have players taken according to the recent projections.
Out of all the SEC players chosen, this mock draft has Alabama QB Bryce Young going as the No. 1 overall pick and first off the board for his position. A total of four quarterbacks are predicted to be taken in the first round.
Here are the SEC players that PFF thinks will go in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft:
- No. 1 — Bryce Young, QB, Alabama — Carolina Panthers
- No. 3 — Will Anderson Jr., Edge, Alabama — Arizona Cardinals
- No. 4 — Anthony Richardson, QB, Florida — Indianapolis Colts
- No. 5 — Jalen Carter, DL, Georgia — Seattle Seahawks
- No. 8 — Brian Branch, S, Alabama — Atlanta Falcons
- No. 15 — Nolan Smith, Edge, Georgia — Green Bay Packers
- No. 17 — Broderick Jones, T, Georgia — Pittsburgh Steelers
- No. 19 — Will Levis, QB, Kentucky — Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- No. 29 — Emmanuel Forbes, CB, Mississippi State — New Orleans Saints
- No. 30 — O’Cyrus Torrence, G, Florida — Philadelphia Eagles
