Just days after the scary Richard LeCounte news out of Georgia, another high-profile SEC player has been injured in a car accident.
Nick Saban announced Friday that redshirt freshman Trey Sanders was in stable condition after suffering non-life-threatening injuries in a car accident in the morning.
“Trey Sanders was involved in a car accident this morning and is in stable condition after sustaining non-life-threatening injuries,” Saban’s statement read. “We are in direct contact with his family and the physicians that are treating him as we continue to gather more information.”
Courtney Mims of WMBB, which covers the Florida panhandle, offered more on Sanders’ crash. Sanders is from Port St. Joe in the Florida panhandle:
We have confirmed through our sources that Alabama running back and Port St. Joe native Trey Sanders was in a car accident today and was life-flighted to a hospital with non life threatening injuries. We will have more on this story as it develops. @WMBBTV
