Nick Saban will chew on a cigar for a while.

As bad as the first half was for Alabama, the second half was that good for the Crimson Tide. After being down 20-7 at the half, Alabama outscored Tennessee 27-0 in the second half to get the 34-20 win. Last year, the Crimson Tide lost 52-49 to Tennessee last year, so getting the win meant a little something extra for Saban.

After the game, Saban said he was going to enjoy this one a little bit.

“The big thing is we came out in the 2nd half, two plays and a touchdown changed the whole momentum of the game,” Saban said to Jenny Dell of CBS. “Got our team excited, got our team having energy. We played great after that. My hat’s off. Fans were great, this is a great win for us. It’s always great to beat Tennessee. Jalen did a great job, offense did a great job in the 2nd half. But the defense shut ’em out in the 2nd half, too. I’ll chew on one for a while.”

Alabama will have a week off before the Crimson Tide will be once again looking for revenge, as they will host LSU.
