Nick Saban explains how former Ole Miss OC Dan Werner is helping Alabama

The Alabama Crimson Tide may have some inside knowledge of Ole Miss’s offense, as former Rebel offensive coordinator Dan Werner is a part of Nick Saban’s staff.
Though Ole Miss has obviously changed offensive coordinators and has new schemes, the fact that Werner is an offensive analyst for the Crimson Tide certainly won’t hurt his new team’s preparations this week.
Plus, as Saban said in Wednesday’s press conference, Werner has also helped the Crimson Tide passing game develop more intricacy:

Obviously, naysayers will point out that it hasn’t appeared as though QB Jalen Hurts has progressed much from his freshman year.
However, Hurts hasn’t needed to do much in the passing game just yet, as the Crimson Tide have dominated opponents.
Whether Hurts needs to throw more against the Rebels this weekend remains to be seen, but it sounds like Saban is happy with the tweaks Werner has made to the team’s aerial attack.
