Nick Saban explains what he liked, didn’t like from 2nd half against Ole Miss

Nick Saban believes that the second-half offense showed improvements against Ole Miss, but not without faults.
Alabama and Ole Miss went into halftime with the Rebels leading 7-6. Alabama went on to outscore Ole Miss 18-3 in the second half.
Saban noted that there was better execution, but stressed the importance of eliminating self-inflicted wounds at Wednesday’s teleconference.
“I think we executed better, I think the offensive line kind of controlled the line of scrimmage a little bit better, we had a little bit better balance run and pass and we didn’t shoot ourselves in the foot nearly as much as we did in the 1st half. I think that’s the thing we want to eliminate. Everybody needs to understand, ‘OK, this play worked and why. OK this play didn’t work and why.’ And try to build on the opportunities to teach and for players to learn that to get good execution, we’ve got to do it every play.”
Both teams had a few penalties called against them on Saturday. Alabama committed six penalties for 60 yards.
While the Crimson Tide won the game 24-10 there are still things the team can improve on.
Alabama faces Mississippi State next on Saturday. Kickoff will be at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN.
