Alabama coach Nick Saban knows a good offense when he sees it, and that counts this week with LSU and new offensive assistant Joe Brady.
“I think they are definitely featuring the players they have in a positive way and I think it shows in how they are playing as one of the best offensive teams in the country,” Saban said. “They are a very talented group, very lengthy, make good catches, physical blockers, have a great scheme, the quarterback is playing well. Those guys have made each other look good, it will be a real challenge.”
Saban said on the SEC media teleconference that he didn’t watch the College Football Playoff rankings reveal on Tuesday night and didn’t know where Alabama was ranked.
“It won’t matter if we don’t win the games,” he said. “We are doing everything we can to improve the schedule we have and we will continue that.”
He was also asked about President Donald Trump visiting for the game and President Richard Nixon going to the Arkansas-Texas game.
“Well, it’s an honor that the President of the United States would be interested enough to come to the game and I’m sure we will do everything we can to welcome him,” Saban said. “I saw that, some highlight about that on ESPN, so I saw that. I don’t have any recollection of that. I was the guy that had to work the antenna so my dad could watch whatever he wanted.”
He added, “We have been to the White House several times and it’s always a flattering and unique experience… it’s an honor, I do remember meeting Ed (Orgeron), don’t remember much about it.”
