Nick Saban names 2 attributes that make Keelon Russell stand out

The No. 6 Alabama Crimson Tide are entering a massive Week 6 showdown against the No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs, and the Tide are rolling into what could be the most pivotal game of the entire season as the second-ranked scoring offense in the nation.
The architect of this high-octane Alabama offense has been none other than star sophomore quarterback Keelon Russell, who has emerged as a legitimate Heisman contender over the past several weeks.
Former Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban broke down Russell’s game on Saturday morning during College GameDay and named the 2 attributes that make the gunslinger stand out in his eyes.
“Two things that impress me the most about this guy: first of all, he’s a great deep ball thrower and has made a lot of explosive plays,” Saban said (per 247Sports’ Mike Rodak). “But secondly, his instinct to be able to make a decision, process information, know when to run, keep his eyes downfield and make explosive plays off the scramble.”

If there is anybody who knows what elite quarterback play looks like, it’s Nick Saban, so the fact that he’s offering up such high praise for Russell goes to show how special he truly is under center for the Tide.
If he can manage to lead Alabama to an upset win over Georgia on Saturday, then he will more than likely put himself in the driver’s seat to take home the Heisman Trophy come season’s end.
