Nick Saban predicts outcome of Alabama vs. Kentucky Week 2 game

Nick Saban doesn’t think Alabama‘s Week 2 game against Kentucky will be as easy as the Crimson Tide walking in to Kroger Field and walking out with a victory. He knows from experience.
“My experience is we never played very well when we played at Kentucky,” Saban said on Saturday’s edition of “College GameDay.” We needed the Bluegrass Miracle to win there one time [at LSU].”
That was 24 years ago. Alabama is hoping it won’t need something similar to take down Kentucky, a team it’s beaten eight straight times. First-year Wildcats head coach Will Stein, however, has rallied fans to create an unbearable environment for the Tide.
While Saban believes “Kentucky is better than people think,” he still has Alabama winning a close one.
“I got to go with Bama. This team is a young team. I think it’s gonna be a close game,” he said.
As young as Alabama is, it had no trouble with East Carolina in Week 1, cruising to a 48-10 win. Keelon Russell threw for 256 yards in his first career start while running for 86 yards and a touchdown. Meanwhile, Ryan Coleman-Williams had five catches for 130 yards.
Kentucky took care of business in Week 1, too. It scored the game’s first 28 points and never looked back in a 45-13 rout of Youngstown State. Kenny Minchey threw touchdown passes to four different receivers while posting 301 yards on 18-of-27 passing.
