Week 6 of the 2026 college football season has officially arrived, and the marquee matchup of a packed slate of action is a heavyweight SEC bout between No. 2 Georgia and No. 6 Alabama under the lights in Bryant-Denny Stadium.

This will be the fourth time in the past 2 calendar years that the Tide and the Dawgs have met on the gridiron, and Alabama has come out on top in the 2 previous regular season meetings between the schools.

Former Crimson Tide head coach and current College GameDay host Nick Saban predicted this trend to continue on Saturday morning, saying that he believes that the Tide “will dominate” Georgia, per 247Sports insider Mike Rodak.

“They (Georgia) have dominated every team that they’ve played,” Saban said. “They haven’t played anybody, but they will play somebody tonight, and the Tide will dominate.”

It’s not really a big surprise to hear Saban pick his former program to come out on top over the Dawgs, but to go as far as to say they will dominate them is a bold take given what we know about both programs so far this season.

That said, this is sure to be yet another slugfest between 2 bitter rivals, like just about every other meeting between them has been for over a decade, and whoever wins will be in the driver’s seat to make it to Atlanta.
