Nick Saban was not happy with Alabama’s performance even though the Crimson Tide pulled out a 20-19 at Texas on Saturday.
After the game, Saban told reporters that he still praised the resiliency of the team after “not playing Alabama football for the first 3 quarters.”
As for Texas, Saban said it’s a preview of things to come for the Longhorns.
“This is like playing an SEC game on the road,” Saban said. “They’re going to be in the SEC. If they were in the SEC now, they’d probably be in the top half of the league.”
About Bryce Young’s heroics down the stretch, Saban said, “I knew he’d do a good job in 2-minute. He always does.”
The Alabama coach added that Young plays quarterback like a point guard in basketball.

Nick Saban said he thought Texas QB Quinn Ewers was playing well before leaving the game but also credited Hudson Card for his scrambling ability after coming in.
