Nick Saban reveals the message he shared with Alabama before huge win at Vandy

The Alabama Crimson Tide entered Saturday’s game against Vanderbilt in Nashville with a perfect 3-0 record, but plenty of question marks.
In fact, many were starting to doubt the Tide’s standing as the No. 1 team in the country, with some putting Clemson in the top spot.
Alabama coach Nick Saban heard those doubts loud and clear, and shared a message with his team prior to the Tide’s 59-0 blowout win over the Commodores.
On Monday, Saban said he stressed to his team that winning a game is different than defeating a team, and he wanted his squad to go out and defeat Vanderbilt:
Saban on message last week: "We really hadn't defeated a team. Winning a game is one thing but defeating a team is entirely different."

Obviously, his team responded well to that message, making a statement in the shutout victory.
Whether the Tide can remain that motivated in the coming weeks remains to be seen, but it’s safe to say the Ole Miss Rebels will have their hands full this weekend.
