With the postponement of the LSU-Alabama game this week, the Crimson Tide are facing a different schedule this week.
Coach Nick Saban explained how his program is dealing with it.
“Well we’re trying to stay in the same rhythm that we would,” Saban said on the SEC coaches media teleconference. “We usually practice on you know like practice on Monday practice on Tuesday and Wednesday, you know, sort of a little bit of a light practice on Thursday no practice on Friday play a game on Saturday so we’ll probably do the same thing and obviously we don’t have a game but to keep the rhythm, probably have some kind of practice on Saturday.”
Saban also shared how Mac Jones has gone from a high school recruit to a contender for the Heisman Trophy.
“He’s worked hard to be a good quarterback, we liked him in high school and his arm talent… athletic, smart,” Saban said. “He had an opportunity to sit behind some good players for a few years, worked to develop… he is a great example of developing as a player… now that he has his opportunity he’s taking advantage of it.”
Saban reported that Alabama had one positive COVID-19 case after the bye week.
About LaBryan Ray’s injury, Saban said, “he’s started to practice, he need to develop confidence in (his return). He’s making good progress.”
