Alabama’s defense has already suffered a host of injuries this season, but the Crimson Tide sustained more on Saturday.

Coach Nick Saban said DL D.J. Dale, who left late in the first half, suffered a knee injury.

“D.J. Dale, I think, is going to be OK,” Saban told reporters, according to BamaOnline. He had a little like patellar tendon strain, but doc thinks he may be OK. Hopefully, we get some guys back for this game. Weโ€™ll just have to make day-to-day decisions during the course of the week as to how much they can practice.โ€

Saban also gave a significant update on LB Terrell Lewis, who did not play on Saturday, following an injury sustained against South Carolina.

“Terrell hyper-extended his knee in the last game, so it was a strategic decision that needed to get made relative to if they do a procedure that sort of helps the healing process now or wait until the bye week,โ€ Saban said. โ€œSo, we always are going to do things relative to whatโ€™s in the best interest for the player. We kind of left it up to Terrell. He wanted to do it and try to get well as soon as possible. So, I would think by next Tuesday, weโ€™re hopeful that he would be able to be back in the swing of things and doing things the right way and be able to play next week.

โ€œBut itโ€™s always going to be day-to-day in terms of how he responds to the treatment.โ€

The Crimson Tide play Ole Miss in Tuscaloosa next week before their off week ahead of a trip to Texas A&M.
