With Alabama already down LBs due to injuries, Anfernee Jennings stepped up and played a huge role against Clemson in the Sugar Bowl, but things ended on a tough note.

Jennings left the game with a knee injury late in the fourth quarter and did not return.

Nick Saban said during his post-game interview that Jennings sprained his knee and his status for Monday night’s national championship game is up in the air.

Jennings probably played his best game at Alabama, making five tackles, including three tackles for loss. Although DT Da’Ron Payne will be remembered for his INT, it was Jennings that forced the INT from Tigers QB Kelly Bryant.
