No. 1 2027 JUCO prospect reveals commitment date, 3 SEC finalists

The top JUCO prospect in the Class of 2027 could be heading to the SEC next year.
Alius Mayo is ready to make his commitment. Mayo recently revealed Sunday as his commitment date. He will be deciding between Alabama, LSU, Mississippi State, Arizona State and Cal.

Out of Modesto College in California, Mayo sweeps the 247Sports Composite JUCO rankings as the top cornerback, California recruit and prospect overall nationally for the Class of 2027.

Mayo has collected 14 scholarship offers during his recruitment. Houston, Louisville, Hawaii, Memphis, UNLV and Colorado State were among the other schools to express interest in addition to his 5 finalists.
As a freshman, Mayo recorded 30 tackles, 1 TFL, 5 interceptions and 5 pass breakups in 11 games. His freshman JUCO highlights can be viewed in the video below:
