One of the best high school WR prospects of the past decade just committed to the Miami Hurricanes over Florida and Texas.
Brysen Wright, a Jacksonville, Florida native, is the No. 1 overall prospect in the Class of 2028 according to SportsCenter Next. He’s a top 3 WR in 2028 according to 247Sports, but — in addition to his Miami commitment — will be reclassifying to the 2027 cycle.
Just a quick reminder, Malachi Toney still has at least one more season in college before he’s eligible to enter the NFL Draft.
Wright is a completely different type of receiver compared to Toney. He stands at 6-foot-3, 215 pounds with room to grow and remains an elite athlete who also plays basketball for Mandarin high school. Wright collected 46 receptions for 983 yards and 10 touchdowns with 5 interceptions and 5 PBUs on defense in 2025.
As mentioned, Florida and Texas were considered candidates for Wright’s services. Wright took unofficial visits to Austin (Sept. 12 vs. Ohio State) and Gainesville (Sept. 26 vs. Ole Miss) before deciding on Miami. Wright took an official visit to Miami Gardens on Oct. 17 as the Hurricanes dispatched Florida State.
