Odell Beckham Jr. left the Super Bowl with 3:50 left in the first half as he reached for his left knee in an apparent non-contact injury.

Beckham dropped a pass and immediately went to the turf as he grimaced in pain. He was helped off the field and went immediately to the injury tent.

OBJ had a chance at MVP honors as he got off to a hot start. He caught the first touchdown of the game on a pass from Matthew Stafford, a 17-yarder with 6:22 remaining in the first quarter.

When he left the game, Beckham had 2 catches for 52 yards and the touchdown on 3 targets.

Beckham, who battled injuries the past few seasons, was let go by Cleveland in November after a two and a half year stint that got turbulent at the end. Beckham couldn’t find a rhythm in the offense and with QB Baker Mayfield.

On Friday, per the Associated Press, Beckham addressed his exit from Cleveland by saying: โ€œOne of the biggest regrets that I have is about the way that things ended. There really was no closure. It just happened so abrupt. So a lot of things were out of my control.โ€

But with the Rams and Stafford, he has found his own, and proved to be an integral part of the offense on the march to the Super Bowl.
