An LSU Tigers Nike Elite game football can be had online for just under $200. But just like fouled-off baseballs or home runs into the stands are worth way more to the person who secures it, a game-used football kicked into the stands has significantly more intrinsic value.

The LSU football staff certainly went the extra mile to retrieve a football kicked into the stands Saturday at Memorial Stadium, scuffling with an Oklahoma fan before the game in an effort to get back their bit of property.

Here’s a clip of the incident:

LSU (7-5 overall, 3-5 SEC) put up a similar fight against the 8th-ranked Sooners – leading late into the fourth quarter before falling to Oklahoma 17-13.

The Sooners piled up 393 yards of total offense and overcame 3 John Mateer interceptions to likely secure a College Football Playoff berth. Mateer finished 23-of-38 for 318 yards and 2 touchdowns to go with the 3 picks.

LSU mustered only 198 yards of total offense but took a 13-10 lead with 7:56 to play via a 43-yard Damian Ramos field goal. Mateer calmly drove Oklahoma (10-2, 6-2) to near midfield and then hit a wide-open Isaiah Sategna III for a 58-yard touchdown with 4:16 remaining.
