Oklahoma takes commanding lead over Alabama following pick-6

Oklahoma entered the game against Alabama needing a win to become bowl eligible, and the defense has come to play. The Sooners have picked off Jalen Milroe off twice, and the Crimson Tide have only 145 yards midway through the 3rd quarter.

With the Sooners up 17-3, Milroe threw his 2nd interception of the game, and LB Kip Lewis took it the other way for a touchdown to give the team a 24-3 lead.

Lewis has been a nemesis for the SEC teams from Alabama all season, as he took back the game-clinching interception early in the season in the Sooners’ win against Auburn.

The Oklahoma offense hasn’t done much, as quarterback Jackson Arnold has thrown for only 47 yards. However, the Sooners have also dominated the line of scrimmage on the offensive side of the ball. Oklahoma has rushed for over 200 yards, with both Arnold and Xavier Robinson nearing the 100-yard mark.

The Crimson Tide entered this game with a legitimate chance to make both the SEC title and the College Football Playoff. If Alabama isn’t able to pull off the incredible comeback, then both of those dreams will go up in smoke.
