Ole Miss had to sit on that embarrassing loss to Florida last week as the Rebels had a bye in Week 5. After being challenged by coach Pete Golding, the Rebels responded on Saturday in a huge way as they knocked off Vanderbilt, 52-17.

Trinidad Chambliss responded in a big way, going 20-of-30 for 213 yards and 3 touchdowns. Deuce Alexander continued his strong start to the season, finishing with five catches for 74 yards and one touchdown.

Before he was the head coach at Ole Miss, he was the defensive coordinator. In the loss to the Gators, they gave up 52 points and 302 rushing yards. That had the head coach fired up, and the defense was outstanding on Saturday.

They held the Commodores to only 103 rushing yards, and 343 total yards. Many of those came in the second half, when they had went to more of a prevent defense.

The Rebels responded in a big way, and have a big game coming up next week when they host the Missouri Tigers. The game is a homecoming for Missouri quarterback Austin Simmons, who was the starting quarterback for Ole Miss last season before he was injured and Chambliss took over.
