SEC Shorts is back to recap Week 3. It’s no surprise that the latest clip focuses on Lane Kiffin‘s return to Ole Miss as LSU‘s head coach.
This week’s sketch opens with LSU riding the Lane Train. LSU expects smooth sailing in Week 3, but runs into problems.
Just about all of Week 3’s high points are touched upon. While LSU-Ole Miss is the main focus, plenty of other developments in the world of SEC football are worked into this week’s clip.
LSU knows it is a bad sign that Morgan Freeman, the College GameDay celebrity guest picker for Week 3 in Oxford, has shown up to narrate the Lane Train’s troubles. LSU is in disbelief that it is facing an early 17-0 deficit in Oxford.

What’s holding up the Lane Train? Arkansas has decided to lie on the tracks in the train’s path. Razorback fans are not handling the rough start to the Ryan Silverfield era well after back-to-back blowout losses to Utah and Georgia.
The Lane Train is also struggling because LSU is lacking depth at positions like wide receiver and tight end. The Lane Train, though, does eventually get rolling as LSU scores 17 unanswered to tie things up.
When Trinidad Chambliss leads Ole Miss to the go-ahead score, the Lane Train gets taken over by Rebel hijackers. LSU serves itself some copium that Kentucky and Mississippi State are still on the schedule, only to realize the Wildcats and Bulldogs are looking pretty strong right now.
The Vandy Pimp and a sad Clemson also make appearances. At the end, Arkansas has been joined on the track by Auburn and Texas A&M.
