Sam Williams has had a productive career at Ole Miss, and now he’s looking to transition to the NFL. But first, he’s going to play in the Sugar Bowl.
“I look forward to taking the field with my brothers one last time in the Sugar Bowl and starting my career in the NFL,” he shared on social media.
Williams made 56 tackles for the Rebels this season, and had a team-high 15 tackles for a loss, which was good for fourth in the SEC. The former JUCO transfer used an additional year because of the pandemic, as he came into the 2021 season already with 22 games played, including 14 starts, as he transitioned from outside linebacker to defensive line.
Thank you 🙏🏽 I hope that everyone continue to pray for me and my family on this journey 💙 #betonme #7out pic.twitter.com/2LMhs7bou3
