Ole Miss finalizing deal to move to Adidas from Nike, per report
Ole Miss might not be featuring Nike for too much longer, as it has for so long.
According to a report on Friday afternoon by Zach Berry, who covers Ole Miss for On3 at The Ole Miss Spirit, the school is finalizing a deal to transition from Nike to Adidas after nearly 30 years of featuring The Swoosh. With this reported deal, The Three Stripes would be replacing The Swoosh in Oxford.
Not only would this be a major transition for Ole Miss from one huge brand to another huge brand, the money involved in the reported deal is huge, too. It’s a potential 10-year contract that Ole Miss is reportedly close to finalizing, with the deal worth between $200 million and $300 million.
The potential $300 million mega deal would make Adidas the Rebels’ apparel partner, not Nike, after that nearly 3-decade run with Nike. Ole Miss has had a partnership with Nike since 1999, so we’re talking 27 years with The Swoosh and Ole Miss being synonymous with each other.
Ole Miss’s new deal with Adidas isn’t official, with nothing being announced as of yet by the school or Adidas. The staggering dollars involved in the potential deal are estimates, but if it does happen it would signify a major shift for Ole Miss from name brand to name brand.
The Rebels’ agreement with Nike expires in June of 2027, and Ole Miss athletic director Keith Carter had recently said that the school was planning to explore the market before it decided its next move. Well, that next move is reportedly happening, with a brand-new brand.
While Ole Miss is apparently in transition with what it wears, the Rebels are trying to win as many games this season as possible with what they’re wearing now. Here is what the Kalshi market is currently saying about Ole Miss’s potential victory total for the 2026 season:
