Ole Miss made a splash on the recruiting trail on Sunday afternoon.
The Rebels earned a commitment from 4-star receiver Miguel Whitley. One of the top receivers in the nation for the class of 2027, Whitley is a New Orleans native who chose Ole Miss over LSU, Tennessee and others.
He shared his commitment with Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett:
Whitley is a massive addition for Ole Miss in the class of 2027. He’s currently ranked as the No. 208 overall player and the No. 28 wide receiver in the nation for this cycle, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

He attends St. Augustine in New Orleans. He’s listed at 6-foot, 180 pounds.
Whitley first received an offer from Ole Miss way back in September of 2024. He’s continued to be recruited at a high level by power-conference programs and is regarded as a 4-star recruit in this cycle.
Ole Miss now has 12 commits in the class of 2027. The group ranks No. 20 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings. Pete Golding and his staff still have several more months to add to this class before the Early Signing Period begins in December.
