The Ole Miss Rebels landed a commitment from 4-star edge rusher Antwan Jackson on Friday, choosing the Rebels over offers from programs such as Mizzou and Alabama.
Jackson, who stands at 6-foot-6, 235 pounds, hails from Memphis, Tennessee — only 40 or so miles away from Oxford — where he stars for White Station high school. He committed to Pete Golding and the Rebels following an official visit to Ole Miss on June 5.
Jackson is the 20th commitment of the 2027 cycle for the Rebels, a class that currently ranks within the top 20 according to 247Sports’ team rankings. Of those 20 commitments, 7 — including Jackson — are defensive lineman. In addition to Jackson, the Rebels also hold commitments from 4-star DLs Mitchell Turner, Ben’Jarvius Shumaker, Marvin Nguetsop and Jamarkus Pittman, as well as 3-star edge rushers Juelz Batiste and Keysan Taylor.
According to 247Sports’ composite rankings, Jackson comes in as the No. 375 overall prospect in the Class of 2027. He’s also considered to be the No. 33 edge prospect and the No. 16 player out of the Volunteer State.
Ole Miss begins its season on Sunday, September 6 in Nashville, where the Rebels will face off against the Louisville Cardinals.
