Ole Miss has added another offensive piece for next season via the transfer portal. Virginia Tech wide receiver Isaiah Spencer is committing to the Rebels, according to On3.

The 6-foot-1, 195-pound Mississippi native caught 14 passes for 194 yards last season in his lone year at Virginia Tech. Spencer spent his first 2 seasons at HBCU Jackson State, combining for 59 receptions for 861 yards and 5 touchdowns.

The senior will have 1 year of eligibility remaining to use at Ole Miss.

Coming out of high school, Spencer was regarded by 247Sports as the No. 225 wide receiver in the nation and No. 30 in-state prospect. Spencer was a 3-star recruit as a high school player according to 247Sports.

This comes on the heels of the disappointing news that star quarterback Trinidad Chambliss was declined his appeal for a sixth and final year of eligibility.

Ole Miss is coming off its best season in the modern era, finishing 13-2 and advancing to the semifinals of the College Football Playoff. Head coach Pete Golding went 2-1 in his first 3 games, all Playoff contests. The Rebels fell to Miami 31-27 in a highly competitive Fiesta Bowl to cap off its special run.
