A shoulder injury kept Lacy out of Ole Miss’ Week 4 game at Florida, the Rebels’ only loss of the 2026 season so far. He also suffered a lower-body injury in Week 7 against Mizzou, but Lacy managed to play through the injury.
The Texas defense has managed to contain Lacy on Saturday night. At the time of his injury, Lacy had 16 carries for 36 yards facing the Longhorns.
After Lacy left the field, Ole Miss continued its scoring drive. The Rebels went 80 yards on 10 plays to score a touchdown, cutting the Texas lead to 24-17. The No. 19 Longhorns, home favorites against the No. 7 Rebels, have led by as many as 21 points in the game (24-3).
After the scoring drive, ESPN cameras showed Lacy being carted away.
