Ole Miss has been extremely busy in the transfer portal since its magical run in the College Football Playoff ended against Miami in the semifinals. The Rebels have brought in some very talented players, including former 5-star quarterback Deuce Knight of Auburn.

However, the Rebels suffered a damaging blow to their roster on Wednesday night, as star linebacker TJ Dottery entered the transfer portal.

Dottery has been as important of a defensive piece for the Rebels as any players the last two seasons. During his two years in Oxford, he finished with 174 tackles, including 98 last year. In the loss to Miami, Dottery was outstanding as he finished with 11 tackles and one sack.

He signed with Clemson out of high school, and according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, he was the No. 227 player in the class. He was the No. 12 player from Alabama, and the No. 22 linebacker. He chose the Tigers over Ole Miss, Oregon, Texas, Alabama among many others across the country.

He figures to be garner a ton of interest from teams all across the country, with former Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin and the LSU Tigers being a team that figures to make a serious run at him.
