Ole Miss transfer defensive end Princewill Umanmielen made headlines when he announced he was entering the transfer portal, as he played a huge role in the Rebels making it all the way to the semifinals in the College Football Playoff.

Once he entered the portal, the expectation was that he would be following his old coach, Lane Kiffin, to Baton Rouge to play at LSU. On Wednesday morning, multiple reports revealed that expectation to be correct.

According to a report from On3’s Hayes Fawcett, Umanmielen has signed with the Tigers.

Umanmielen signed with Nebraska out of high school, and he was a 4-star recruit according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. He was the No. 50 recruit from the state of Texas and the No. 216 overall prospect in the class.

He was more of a rotation player at Nebraska, as he finished with 35 tackles and 1.5 sacks in 2 seasons. However, it was at Ole Miss last season where he became a household name in college football. He finished with 45 tackles, 9 sacks, and 1 interception.

Umanmielen is just the latest of some key players who have left Ole Miss to join Kiffin at LSU. He joins fellow teammates Winston Watkins, Devin Harper, and TJ Dotter, who have also announced that they will be heading to Baton Rouge.
