Ole Miss will lose some depth at wide receiver, according to a report from Matt Zenitz of On3 Sports.
Ole Miss wide receiver Dannis Jackson has entered the transfer portal. Jackson, a former 4-star recruit, had 12 catches for 244 yards and two touchdowns last year. The 6-foot-1 and 170-pound Jackson is originally from Sumrall, Mississippi.
Along with his production last season, Jackson played in 11 games with 1 start at wide receiver, and he also registered 3 kick returns for 57 total yards. He previously played in 10 games as a sophomore, and 9 games as a freshman.
Coming out of high school in the class of 2019, Jackson was the No. 117 player in the nation in 2019 class, according to the 247Sports Composite, and also ranked as 2019 class’s No. 20 wide receiver and No. 9 player in Mississippi by the same ranking.
While Ole Miss fans have looked for more production out of Jackson, it now appears that he’s looking to find a program where he can make more of an impact.
