Pat McAfee delivers electric pick for Ole Miss vs. LSU to wrap up College GameDay

The Ole Miss campus was in a frenzy for the Rebels’ Week 3 game against LSU, with Lane Kiffin making his return to Oxford for the first time since leaving for the Tigers.
Sitting next to guest picker Morgan Freeman, Pat McAfee (as expected) did his best to feed into the frenzy during Saturday’s College GameDay. Before his pick, McAfee gave the Tigers their flowers.
“That Week 1, I was down in Baton Rouge, Morgan, and as God is my witness here, that LSU team looked fast. That LSU team looked talented. That LSU fanbase looked committed. I actually said last week that LSU wins the national championship by 50 points,” McAfee began.
Amid boos from the Rebels crowd, McAfee eventually changed his tune, picking Ole Miss to get the win while joining Freeman in leading the Hotty Toddy cheer.
“It does feel like in college football, if that stadium’s upside down, anything can happen,” McAfee said.
While McAfee still thinks the Tigers will end up winning the national championship, he doesn’t think that will come without a setback on Saturday against the Rebels.
The good news for the Tigers: Sam Leavitt is in line to play. The Tigers quarterback was listed as doubtful on Wednesday, questionable on Thursday, and finally taken off the availability report on Friday in what may or may not have been some gamesmanship from Kiffin against his former team.
