Pat McAfee has become a major part of College GameDay on ESPN. On Saturday night, he predicted on social media that Bryce Underwood was going to have a big game after he saw the quarterback walking down the tunnel before the game. However, Underwood struggled for much of the night before completing a miraculous pass to avoid being upset by Western Michigan.
Fans saw the post by McAfee on X, and they are letting him know about it in the comments.
While he looked wrong for the majority of the night, a controversial ending saved him from even more backlash. The Wolverines appeared to have lost the game, but a second was added and Underwood connected with J.J. Buchanan on a 47-yard pass at the buzzer to get the win.
With the win, the Wolverines escape a monster upset to host Oklahoma next weekend in one of the biggest nonconference games of the year. While Texas and Ohio State will be the biggest game next weekend, the matchup in the “Big House” is definitely one that they will be talking about on College GameDay. It will provide McAfee the perfect platform to double down on Underwood after the craziness Saturday night.
