In the midst of the blackout of ESPN/Disney networks on YouTube TV, Pat McAfee is letting his frustration be heard. The ESPN personality is particularly calling out the network for its insistence on using on-air talent to attempt to persuade viewers to put pressure on YouTube.
During an episode of The Pat McAfee Show, he vented about the situation related to ESPN hosts, as he claims it’s a waste of time to lobby fans towards their corporate agenda.

“Stop telling people to go to a website to save a multi-billion dollar deal,” McAfee said. “Nobody cares what you have to say.”
McAfee is urging all parties involved to find common ground so that fans can find easier access to ESPN’s sports coverage. McAfee believes sports plays a major factor in societal unity, so it’s paramount to reach a swift agreement.
“We need to be able to access this [expletive] easily,” McAfee said. “And also, sports are a unifier, man. Come on. We don’t want to hear about business [expletive].”
Yet, McAfee is realistic about the challenges that are currently halting any progress.
“Any time both sides feel like they have leverage and they feel like they have to to survive, that is a tough deal to get done,” McAfee said.
