Paul Finebaum calls Arch Manning a generational talent ahead of 2025 season
Paul Finebaum isn’t slamming the breaks on the Arch Manning hype machine. He’s driving the hype train.
Manning will finally take over at quarterback for preseason No. 1 Texas this fall, and the Longhorns’ expectations combined with Manning’s last name means that just about everything is expected of him in 2025. That won’t be too much for Manning, said Finebaum and a whole slew of SEC Network analysts in a minute-long teaser for an upcoming SEC Inside show.
Finebaum is fittingly the last analyst to voice his take on Manning during the teaser, and the longtime college football analyst has big words for a potentially big-time college quarterback.
“Can Manning play? That’s the easiest question I’ve ever been asked. He is going to be the most dynamic quarterback we have seen in, perhaps, a generation,” said Finebaum.
Here is the full SEC Network teaser that’s all about Manning:
Manning is the favorite to win the Heisman Trophy this season even though he’s a first-year starter. That’s the kind of surreal expectations that Manning carries in 2025, and the list of SEC Network analysts on the teaser released on Wednesday morning can’t wait for the latest Manning to explode on the football scene.
The pressure on Manning will be enormous this fall, but they believe he’ll be up to the task, and Finebaum believes we’ll be talking about Manning’s performance at Texas for a very long time.
