Paul Finebaum never seems to hold back when it comes to Clemson coach Dabo Swinney. The latest comments came after Clemson lost to N.C. State on Saturday.
โDabo Swinney, for all of his charm, is a pretty lousy loser,โ Finebaum said on the ESPN College Football Podcast. โNobody wants to hear his wine, nobody really wants to hear him say whatever he says. Heโs a good winner โ well, heโs not even a good winner. But heโs a terrible loser.โ
For Finebaum, the struggles at Clemson begin at one position.
โI really do think it starts at the offensive line position,โ Finebaum said of Swinneyโs struggles. โI heard Dabo a month ago saying, โwe are much better at the offensive line. I really like this offensive line.โ If he likes that offensive line, he likes bad football because they canโt block anything. Theyโre done for the season; it doesnโt matter whoโs left.โ
Clemson returns to action next week against Boston College on homecoming, before its bye week.
